Saturday, July 16, we attended a Harry Potter event at the Bakken Museum in Minneapolis. There were actual props from the movie, owls from the Raptor Center in St. Paul, and a huge room set up for the kids to make wizzards' hats, owl puppets, and magic wands. The wands were also a lesson in electrical circuitry. We went with our friends, the Farners, who had been up until 2 am the night before celebrating the release of the latest Harry Potter book at Barnes and Noble in the Mall of America.
